Making History at the FDU Inaugural Heats Rising 7v7 Field Hockey Tournament

This past weekend, our field hockey program etched its name in history at the inaugural Heats Rising 7v7 Field Hockey Tournament hosted at Fairleigh Dickinson University. The event brought together teams from across the region, including exclusive club programs known for their skilled players and rigorous training. Despite being up against tough competition, our recreation program proved that passion, teamwork, and dedication can overcome even the most formidable opponents.

Our teams showcased their skill and resilience throughout the tournament, with two of them delivering absolutely flawless performances. Both our U12 and U14 teams went undefeated in their respective brackets, demonstrating outstanding gameplay and unyielding determination. Their hard work and commitment paid off as they brought home championship titles in their divisions, a proud moment for our athletes and the entire program.

This milestone achievement is a testament to the power of community and the strength of our players. Competing against exclusive club programs gave our athletes the opportunity to prove that recreation teams can hold their own—and even rise to the top—when they work together, stay focused, and play with heart.

As we celebrate these championships, we look forward to continuing the momentum and fostering growth in all our players. Here’s to many more victories ahead and to building a program that inspires confidence, camaraderie, and a love for the game.
